Manchester United are reportedly in contact with the agent of Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.
The Frenchman has suffered multiple injuries during his time at Camp Nou, and he is currently sidelined with a hamstring issue.
Dembele’s current deal with the club expires in June next summer, and the hierarchy have yet to convince him to extend his stay.
According to El Nacional, the Red Devils have recently made contact with the player’s representative over a potential transfer.
Dembele can sign a pre-contract with a foreign club in January, and the Red Devils are reportedly exploring the possibility.
The World Cup winner was previously on the club’s radar last summer, but Barcelona rejected the loan proposal made.
He was once again linked earlier this year, but the hierarchy opted to prioritise Jadon Sancho‘s arrival from Dortmund.
United don’t need another wide attacker in their ranks, but their position could change by the end of the ongoing season.
Anthony Martial seems likely to head for the exit door while Jesse Lingard could also leave on a free transfer next summer.
United were not willing to gamble on a permanent move for Dembele last summer, but seem to be tempted by a free transfer.
