To prepare for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, athletes of the Weightlifting and Athletics teams were trained at the National Sports Training Center in Ho Chi Minh City and the Swimming team trained at the Danang National Sports Training Center.

Right from the beginning of 2021, disabled athletes who won tickets to Tokyo have been focused and trained in the best conditions at these 2 National Sports Training Centers. This is considered a difficult congress for Vietnamese athletes. The epidemic has significantly affected the training and competition process to improve the achievements of sports teams for people with disabilities.

Speaking at the meeting, the head coach of Vietnam’s athletics team for the disabled, Dang Van Phuc, said that in the past time, despite many difficulties due to the impact of the epidemic, the members were determined. high level, try to practice, improve performance. Up to now, the athletes have all had a competitive mentality, good performance, ready to take on the challenge.
